If you first come to a casino and look to sit down a table game with few complexities with the hard-to-understand-rule and a lot of James Bond-style gambling fun, baccarat is your go-to game. How to play Baccarat and Rules of Baccarat?
There are three possible results—the player wins, the Banker win, and tie—and pretty much all the work was done by the Dealer.

How the game is pronounced: “baa-ca-rah,” with a silent “t” is the toughest thing about it. When pronouncing it right, you now know more than 90 percent of the players wandering around the casino and can consider yourself pretty smart.

You can bet on either of two hands

The two hands you can bet on are one is the Banker’s hand, the other is the Player’s hand. The players may bet on either hand. Before cards are dealt, bets must be placed on either the Player or Banker before cards are dealt.

You are paid 1 to 1, or even money should it win if you bet on the Player hand winning. It is a tie, and neither bet wins or loses. However, you can also bet on a Tie before the hand is dealt If the Player and Banker’s hand are the same. The Ties payout is 8 to 1. While the house edge is 1.06 percent on the bet of Banker and 1.24 percent on the bet of Player, the Tie bet has a much larger house edge of 14.36 percent with an 8-deck shoe.

The game’s object

The game object is to choose the winning hand, Player or Banker. However, the object of the player/banker hands is getting the totals closest to the “9”.

Player’s Hand

The Player’s hand is always dealt first. Their two cards are turned over and the total announced by the dealer. Then the Banker’s cards are revealed. Any total from 6 to 9 and the Player stands, no more cards are drawn. A total from 8 to 9 is called a natural win and is an automatic winner against any Banker hand except 8 or 9. The hand is a tie, a push if the totals are the same. The Banker wins if the Player has an 8 and the Banker a 9. The Player wins if the player has a 9 and the Banker and 8.

They stand if the Player’s first two cards are 6, 7, 8 or nine. Players hit and receive a single card if the Player’s first two cards total five or less. Their play is now finished.

Banker’s Hand

The Banker always stands on a total of two-card of 7, 8 and 9

The Banker always hits on a two-card total of 0, 1, 2 and 3 with the exception that the Banker will hit a total point of 3 against a Player total of 8

The Banker will hit some more 4, 5 and 6 card totals, depending on the Player’s total:

Hit with a 4 against a Player total from 2 to 7

Hit with a 5 against a Player total from 4 to 7

Hit with a 6 against a Player total of 6 and a 7

Know how cards are dealt

The Dealer will deal two cards to both the Player and the Banker. A player or casino operator holding the shoe slides one card out and places it with face up in the Player’s box on the felt table. The next card is placed in the Banker’s box on the table. And then the house deals the second card for Player, then the second Banker card. The dealer’s first-round includes two cards for both the Player and Banker.

Announce the total point of two hands

Tens and faces (J, Q, K) cards all are zero points; all other cards are worth their face value, and the ace worth one point.  The second digit is the value of the hand if a total is more than 10. For example, an 8 and a 7, which total 15, make up a five-point hand. In order to win, your bet must be on the hand that total points are closer to nine.

Understand the “natural” win

There is a natural win and the game is over, if in the first two cards dealt, the point total is 8 or 9 for either the Player or the Banker. The already placed bets are cashed out.

Determine the players’ third card

The Player hand is completed first. The Player will get no additional cards A total of 8 or 9. The Player stands on totals of 6 or 7. On any other total, from 0 to 5, the Player will draw a third card. The bank hand wins with no further draw unless the banker has 8 or 9.

The rules governing the third card for Banker

The Banker draws with a hand total of 0-5 and stays pat with a hand total of 6 or 7 if the Player stands pat (or does not draw new cards). All other hands are dependent on the third card the Player draws:  The Banker draws when he has a 0-3 and stays with a 4-7

If the third card of layers is 9, 10, face-card or Ace.

The Banker draws when he has a 0-2 and stays with a 3-7 if the Player’s third card is 8.

The Banker draws when he has a 0-6 and stays with a 7 if the Player’s third card is 6 or 7.

The Banker draws when he has a 0-5 and stays with a 6-7 if the Player’s third card is 4 or 5.

The Banker draws when he has a 0-4 and stays with a 5-7 if the Player’s third card is 2 or 3.

Calculating the winning hand

Which hand has the totals closer to 9 is the winning hand. Neither hand wins or loses in the event of a tie. When betting on the Banker’s hand, sometimes a commission is paid out of winnings.
